The BIG one month mark. I’ve given up on the e-cigarettes and gone cold turkey.
So far, no problems. I have been drinking more coffee than usual and spending more money than usual, but hey.

I’ve decided to use an electonic cigarette to kick my habit. I am/was a light smoker so I chose the 0 nicotene cartridges.
If you have never seen an electronic cigarette before or one in use, you might get a different opinion of them as I had.
My trouble started right away. The instructions were vague and didn’t have enough illustrations. Everytime I ran into a problem I wasn’t sure where to start correcting.
1. It didn’t show how to remove the cap from the optimizer or how the filter was to replace it. I must have gotten it right because it is smoking (kind of).
2. The bottom portion of the cigarette is what you plug into the charger. It grabs it like a magnet so, I believed that was all it needed for the first 8 hours. Nope, after my smoker still wouldn’t work, I tried screwing it into the charger and that gave me a red light that eventually turned green.
……the next day
3. I puff and puff but the cigarette doesn’t light up and no smoke. I found a video showing a man puffing on the bottom portion of an electronic cigarette to show it was charged. (It lit up) Mine lit up this way also so that proved the battery wasn’t faulty.
I’m telling you I had to drag on that cigarette so hard my head was aching in order for it to light up. Yes I got an average amount of smoke but I also got some of the liquid from the filter in my mouth. The whole thing reminds me of a Lionel Train where you add the oil to the stack to make it smoke. ![]()
So now, I take short quick hits every so often. Hold it like I would if I were riding on the back of a motorcycle and yes, I’ll have to go through with this because I have 50 bucks invested.

I haven’t updated my blog for awhile but maybe some of my blogging classmates are still active.
I recently joined a class for the ever popular Corel Painter program.
The instructor/author of Painter XI intro to Brushes is Maureen Eves-Lavis. Check her website here: Creative Designs
So far I am happy with the course with plenty of learning material and it looks like they may be as addicting as the Build Your Own Website series.
What have you all been up to lately?
