 Re: Exercise anyone???
Here I am again! Riding for my life... I rode for 30 minutes, Level 5, Plateau, 6.5 miles, Heart Rate 101, 147 calories and I traveled at an average of 13.5 mph. Total miles since 1-27-09: 177.7 miles! Working on my next 100miles!! Since February 4: 3,136 calories This program gives me more mileage and calories burned. And it seems easy enough for me.

 Re: Exercise anyone???
Yeaaaaa Joanne...you're doing great. Our weather is finally getting nice out and I think I can start walking (if I don't get hit by another car). Little dog Molly always likes to go too, but she gets just so far now and then can't go any farther, so I have to pick her up and bring her back home.

 Re: Exercise anyone???
Hi my exercise buddies!
Joanne, I can't believe you have already gone 177 miles! Have you figured out where you are yet on your journey to the Brownies?!!
I know I haven't posted much but I have been doing my walks almost everyday. I love them and I am so glad I am taking them again. I do think they not only help physically, they help mentally. I've been walking over to the kids house, it is exactly 1.5 miles. I haven't done it round trip yet but I will. It is 1.0 miles to Rite-Aid and I have done that round trip a couple of times.
Norma I am so glad you will be able to start again - but look out for those crazy drivers!

 Re: Exercise anyone???
Norma and Kc, nice to see you here and to hear your good news! Norma, Quote: Our weather is finally getting nice out and I think I can start walking (if I don't get hit by another car) Weather is improving some here, but my legs, feet and pelvis still give me a problem if I try to go too far...but I may get out and try short distances. Need to get a battery in my pedometer. Are there any safer places to walk? Are there high school tracks? Here, most of the high schools have walking/running track ovals with the perfect surface for walking and they are open to the public to use. Kc, Yay! Good to see you! No, I haven't figured yet what is the most direct route to those brownies. Maybe head southwest? I just need to get a map and plot it all out. That would be interesting, even more motivational as I ride (as if brownies are not enough ! So glad you are walking and I like thinking about the places you walk too (imagining those sunny and beautiful days you have). Quote: I do think they not only help physically, they help mentally. I agree with that completely! It also boosts your self esteem, at least it does me...I am happy with myself when I choose to ride when I could just sit around and forget it ( yeah, there are sometimes I think that). Okay, yesterday's ride... I rode for 30 minutes, Level 6, Ride in the Park, 5.4 miles, Heart Rate 103, 109 calories and I traveled at an average of 10.9 mph. Total miles since 1-27-09: 183.1 miles! Working on my next 100miles!! Since February 4: 3,245 calories

 Re: Exercise anyone???
I have not reported in a few days, but I have 3 slips of paper with the info. I think that I will just put them here for some sort of selfish motivation, I love seeing the miles pile up. 2 days ago: I rode for 30 minutes, Level 5 Plateau, 6.3 miles, Heart Rate 102, 136 calories and I traveled at an average of 12.8 mph. Total miles since 1-27-09: 189.4 miles! Working on my next 100miles!! Since February 4: 3,381 calories yesterday: I rode for 30 minutes, Level 5 Plateau, 6.2 miles, Heart Rate 103, 132 calories and I traveled at an average of 12.6 mph. Total miles since 1-27-09: 195.6 miles! Working on my next 100miles!! Since February 4: 3,513 calories Today: I rode for 30 minutes, Level 5 Plateau, 6.1 miles, Heart Rate 100, 129 calories and I traveled at an average of 12.3 mph. Total miles since 1-27-09: 201.7 miles! WOW! Over 200 miles and working toward 300 miles!! Since February 4: 3,642 calories

 Re: Exercise anyone???
Before you all think I 'fell off the bicycle' I want to tell you I didn't! I have just been busy, tired, a little bit sick and so on...but i have 5 or six slips of paper with my mileage written down and when i get to it will write it here.

 Re: Exercise anyone???
I am still riding and recording the miles gone although I have been too otherwise occupied to record it here. Didn't want anyone to think that I "fell off the bike"!
