Post Hello World
How has everyone been doing? I catch a glimpse of Dorothy and Joanne every so often on Facebook.
I can't look up at the clouds anymore without thinking of Norma and the silly drawings we used to make from them.

Post Re: Hello World
Bonnie, Krisse, so glad to see you...well, the last few weeks have been extreme for me, the school closed and there was a lot to do for that...sad things  I will so much miss that school.

However, look at this!
http://blainesewing.net/schedule.asp
Scroll down to where it says Computer Basics. Yes, I will be teaching adults who buy computerized sewing machines and are not so sure how to use their computers! Hope people sign up ;)

I have also been taking the Painter Brushes course which just finished. Was good!
http://rjoannej.com/PainterBrushesI/week1.html

I am now taking a CS5 Extended 3D class. I will be posting the work to that soon. It is at Digital Arts Academy...but it is nowhere near as strong as LVS...the assignments for this are so simple that it took a few minutes, so naturally I worked it into a bit more...no challenge as it was.

Hi Krisse. I haven't taken the time for Flicker. My photos have been subjective and mostly family.

Joanne, it looks like you're back to teaching again. That was quick. :D
People will come once the word gets out.

I have been snooping around near the Oberlin College. People are giving me information about one of the teachers giving weaving classes. This would be a great Fall project for me.

I hope so!!!
The weaving class sounds like fun! I say, do it!

I haven't had the time to even TOUCH my camera! My own fault, seeing I just finished the Painter class and am now doing the PS CS5 3 D!

You know what? All the early books we did about masking, all that information, has become almost obsolete because of the CS 5 capabilities. So, I do not feel one bit pressured to even try to do that. There are better and easier ways now.

However, I so much miss the way we all did things as a group...the group learning (who knows how many years we have been together?)and hope we can get back together, as a group, for some reason...maybe the challenges?? What do you all think?

Love you all, too! :D

Post Re: Hello World
Hey, Hello Everyone! How ya all are? Nice to see you guys here! I've been bird watching this year. My Loon cam of course and took on a couple of Eagle cams. The Eagles have all grown and have left the nest. Our poor loon eggs didn't hatch this year, we think they were a first time couple. Still all very interesting. So been into my camera and photoshopping my images. Started a group over at flickr for the loon group and invited people to join the Hello World forum. And no takers so far. And my hubby is not doing to well again, his diabetes is flaring up. Spent a week in the hospital with infection in his foot. The foot is getting better, but he's not the same as he use to be. So I'm learning how to step into different shoes and learning how to handle the world. I'm doing ok but crash land once in a while. Such is life. But I still face each day with a good attitude and life is still beautiful.
Joanne, I'm sorry your school closed. But glad you found another teaching job. I know you will love your new teaching job.

Bonnie, hi ho, nice to hear from you also. How's Kadae? At the loon chat room they were talking about skunks, I had to relate the story of Kadae and your electical fire! lol

Carol, haven't seen you in a while. How was the states for you? I hope you a good time. :-)

Krisse, I been keeping in touch with you. Great images over a flickr.
Must run talk at yous later

Post Re: Hello World
Hey everyone......Glad to see all of the posts and catch up on all of you. I miss being in on things and hope I can get started again. For those who don't know, my sweet husband of 54 plus years passed away last Aug 25th 2009. Making it even worst, our beloved pet Molly (schnauzer) passed away in April of last year. 2009 was not a good year. And now it has been a year already that they are gone. I've been keeping busy though...went to FL with my sis for a month and then went to MX with my grandkids, son and daughter in law and daughter. Been doing some remodeling on the house and just finished adding a laundry room off my kitchen. Washer and dryer were down in the basement and just love having it on the same level now. I don't even know if I remember how to do everything in PS. I will diffenitly have to start all over ..........and now CS5....good grief I'm still on CS2.
Also I just went into Dorothy's PS and found out that Deci has died. That's quite a shock.

Joanne, sorry about your school, but I'm sure you'll do good in what ever you do. Hope your health has been holding up and no more falling.
Jorgey...sorry your husband has not been well again. I'll have him in my prayers. I've been watching your loons. Love the video of them skidding on the ice.
Hi Carol...been looking in on your paintings. Looks good to me. Sometimes we just get in a slump.
Hi to Krissy too.....miss all the fun we have had in our challenges....maybe we can get started again.
I need something to get me moving again. Bonnie....how about it. And yes I still make picture out of clouds. Just saw some neat one's Mon. It was an Elephant sitting with his trunk up in the air.

That is a good omen!

I am so moved by all the sad things that have happened to you in the past year...they are the things we cannot stop from happening and so know we all somehow share your sadness, not so much because we knew your husband nor little Molly, but because we care about you and know how you loved them. I have always known family is important, but as we grow older, the realization of just how important becomes deeper and deeper. I am so glad you have such a loving family who share the losses with you and provide support.

:!: about the washer dryer laundry room! That must make laundry fun :P

Yes, I am teaching computer classes at the sewing machine shop! I had my first session last week and it was great! I loved it! The class is composed of older women who need to know computer to really interact with their computerized sewing machine software designs.

As someone said a long time ago, we are here when you are ready! Hopefully we can get something going...a challenge would be a lot of fun. Yes, CS5! Of course, I just had to get it! and I love it! Hey, anyone want to start a challenge??? I need one, too.

Often think about you, hoping you are healing and so glad to see your message!
