 Goodbye Smoking!
Yes I really had been smoking around 35 years maybe a little more, but at least 35 years and now had been without since Friday 13th of October 2009. Looks like at this time Friday 13th didn't bring a bad luck. http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisseee/4306567524/ Bigger size http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4046/430 ... f61a_b.jpg

Thank you Carol. I'm only amazed how easily it happened.

 Re: Goodbye Smoking!
HOORAY! Congratulations, I know how hard that is. I quit about 10 years ago after many years of smoking. It is the greatest, nicest most wonderful gift to yourself.
How did you do it? Every time I wanted to smoke, I would make herbal tea and play a computer game. By the time I did that, I didn't want the cigarette any more. It still was a hard thing, but so glad now.
Krisse, think of the good health and the money you are saving!

 Re: Goodbye Smoking!
Good for you Krisse for stop smoking. In my teen years I was a smoker (waaayyy back when) cigarettes were only a dime a pack. When they got up to twenty-five cents a pack I quit smoking I wasn't going to pay that ridiculous amount of money for a smoke. Now a days they are about five to six dollars a pack. You will be saving money, plus your sense of smell will come back. Stick with it, you can do it!!!

 Re: Goodbye Smoking!
I can't believe how easily this happened to me. I was just found Flickr and very addicted and interested for looking more and more, not interested to go out in chilly weather to get more cigarettes. So I think I go after little while when I must and suddenly it was so late that all shops were closed. I took a class of water and went to bed. No terrible cigarette needs either in the morning and went back to Flickr with class of water. It was much more habit than a need for me. Yes I'm not going to smoke anymore and I'm very glad about to leave that awful smell and taste in a mouth on the mornings.

 Re: Goodbye Smoking!
Krisse, that is the secret to getting over an addiction. Substitute the addictive behavior with another addiction...in your case, Flicker, which i s something better for your heath.
I still found it hard to do, but I think it was because it was a psychological addiction, not so much physical.

 Re: Goodbye Smoking!
Way to go Krisse! I still smoke and it is cold out there. I am not a heavy smoker and can go hours without one. Once I quit by opening the door and taking a long breath of fresh air every time I wanted one.
